The story behind Haggis
Haggis the Cat was more than just a pet; he was a cherished part of the family. Funny, intelligent, loyal, handsome and inquisitive, Haggis left a giant hole when he passed away suddenly. Inspired by the family's grief and the antics of Haggis, Mia began writing his stories to heal and capture his spirit. Set in real Melbourne suburbs, "The Adventures of Haggis the Cat" brings to life the joy of having a cat in an Australian family. There are a series of books set in real suburbs in the South East of Melbourne.
Recently, Millie, Haggis’s mother passed away at the end of 2025. She was 20 years old and the oldest cat in the suburb of Brighton 3186. According to the Brighton vet.
Millie the Cat Influencer launch in August 2026. It is a captivating and relevant story of an Influencer Cat who has millions of followers and her own yoga brand. Millie says affirmations and jets first class all over the world. Millie is a cat with a heart and read the story to find out what Millie does to give back to the community.

Mia hopes to share the importance of family, including our beloved pets. Her stories touch on themes like loving a special needs cat, appreciating Australian wildlife. Through her books, Mia also commemorates real friends' pets, both living and passed, preserving their memories within her tales.
